ST. PETERSBURG — After rain and hurricane delays, Shorecrest Prep was ready for its first home game of the regular season. Coming all the way from South Daytona, the Warner Christian Eagles could not hold back the offense of the Chargers, led by quarterback Will Lovelace and running backs Apollo Kaepernik and Orrin Fredericks. Fredericks scored three out of the four touchdowns for the Chargers. The Eagles put points on the board late in the fourth quarter with quarterback Emani Goring getting a touchdown followed by running back Jamal Holmes getting the two-point conversion.
Star of the game: Earning 68 rushing yards, Fredericks helped the Chargers' field position and set up Lovelace to make a 27-yard field goal late in the third quarter.
